Hello, I’m Jess and I’m so glad you’re here!

Whether I’m the first therapist you’ve sought out or this is the twenty seventh bio you’ve read as you’ve tried to find the right fit for you- I’m happy you stopped by.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the San Diego area and have been providing therapy since 2016. After earning my Masters in Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University, I began working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons providing mental health and addictions counseling to incarcerated individuals. This is where I truly fell in love with counseling- I got to watch first hand as my clients worked through past hurts and committed to making daily choices that led them closer to holistic health and happiness.

I also spent time working with The Department of Health and Welfare as I partnered with caregivers who were working towards reunification with their children. After that, I pursued a career in educational mental health where I’ve spent the last six years providing services to youth and their families.

My Approach

A Holistic Approach
to Mental Health

I believe true healing happens when we care for the whole person- mind, body, and spirit. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, honoring your unique story and the strengths you already possess. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that no longer serve you, deepen your self awareness, and create meaningful change.

My Expertise

Therapeutic Approach

I come from an eclectic therapeutic background and thus, sprinkle a little bit of different approaches in my sessions. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy so it's very important for me to meet each person where they're at.

The most common approaches I incorporate are:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

  • Strengths Based Perspective

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Person Centered

A Personal Touch

Get to Know Me Beyond the Practice

Outside of this work, you can find me spending time with my husband and our two children. We’re in the thick of the early years of parenting and it’s the most beautiful and challenging work I’ve ever done. I love to read and my book club is one of my greatest joys. Give me a good thriller and I’ll probably stay up way too late finishing it while definitely regretting it the next day when I’m in the trenches with my children. I believe breakfast is the best meal of the day and there’s no need to get fancy with it- eggs, toast (sourdough of course), potatoes, and bacon will do just fine thankyouverymuch.
